Went to hospital on Halloween night
Constant contraction signals the time is about right
5 hours passed midnight received the CALL from my wife
“Hurry, don’t miss the precious sight”

Hop on the taxi, Destination - Sanatorium Hospital
Dead silence in the cubicle
Full pressure on the gas pedal
3 words to describe the driver’s mental
“GO! GO! GO!”

Stepped in the delivery room
Can see the scalp from the mama’s womb
5 minutes later, came the obstetrician in doctor’s costume
“OH...Can see the head. Very Good! Please resume.”

At each contraction, doctor asks her to hold on tight n push with all her might
With all the screaming and heavy breathing, my head starts to feel a bit light
Encouragement didn’t help as baby’s head got caught so tight
Then came the anesthetic before the doc starts to slice
What a heart-sore moment to recite

A bigger hole n with one last attempt
Finally out the 6.9 kilograms
Right away she snatched the O2 host with her tiny right hand
A Kodak moment that gave everbody a cramp
She’s round, chubby and cute – a trademark of the Lok’s descent
